Problem Notes
- MMM: He is on Bu Gang Tang and Qing Yin Tang and acupuncture/chiropractic weekly for the first 3 treatments and now every 2 weeks. Started these TCVM treatments in August, 2016 and since starting he has gone down to 1 MMM twitching episode per week (before, while just on prednisone and mycophenolate prescribed by the neurologist he had 3 to 4 episodes per week). I weaned him off of the mycophenolate and is only given gabapentin if painful after an episode. He is also on milk thistle and turmeric due to mild liver enzyme elevation back in June that is now cured); and is receiving essential oil therapy starting today.
I started him 2 weeks ago on Long Dan Xie Gan Tang added to his QYT and BGT (because he seemed to have Heat excess) and he had 3 episodes last week. He yesterday was no longer having excess Heat. The environment/climate is now cooler anyway. Thus, I took him off his Long Dan Xie Gan Tang yesterday and I want to start weaning him off prednisolone as it is cooling and also he is hungry all the time due to prednisolone.
What other formulas would be good for him? Maybe just maintain LDXGT and QYT for now? His tongue was dark red but normal size, pulses showed slightly wiryness.

For 10 days, after I put him on 200mg Gabapentni twice daily and Wei Ling Tang he had no licking episodes until today, after he had been on only 100mg Gapapentin twice daily for 4 days; It lasted only 2hours (they usually last 4 to 6 hours). He is also on Qing Yin Tang, Bu Gan Tang and Xiao Chai Hu Tang (Benefits Hips and Knees)
I'm going to stop the Wei Ling Tang and Qing Yin Tang, continue on Xiao Chai Hu Tang (and Bu Gang Tang if he will acccpt it) and add in Yi Guan Xian
