Treatments
Notes: Severe pruritis especially at night, tanks up on water, good appetite, no c/s/v/d, BCS 4/9, dry, red, thickened (elephant) skin with small dry flakes. Pale pink, dry, swollen tongue. Pulse superficial, toned (wiry?), slippery. Active points BL15, BL17, BL18. Owner will not use Four Marvels - states dog is allergic to barley and won't use coix, also states previous increase in pruritis with Licorice Root. Owner has agreed to a custom formula of equal portions of Shen Di Huang, Fang Feng, Hong Zao, Chi Shao, Di Fu Zi, Jing Jie, Shan Zhi Zi with no result and possibly worsening of the pruritis. Skin has progressed from damp to dry with no change in pruritis.

Acupuncture points were stimulated
Notes: Started Qing Ying Tang (ground fresh herb from Kingdom of Basil), developed septic arthritis in elbow and severe generalized oozing moist dermatitis with severe pruritis. Also developed a 2/6 murmur. Tongue: lavender, dry. Pulse: superficial, wiry, thin. Active Shu points: heat at BL 15-16, BL19-24 and depressions at BL 20 and BL 22
