Treatment and Outcome

Problem Notes
  • Lameness (progressive): Swollen face and legs and laying down amyloid in the autosomal recessive genetic disease. I recommended less processing and upping the protein along with using herbs. This was a bad idea and she flared with a new episode soon after. Primary care put her on Colchicine which decreases amyloid production and pain killers.
Deep but slippery pulse with unclear acupuncture points. I started her on San Ren Tang and she refused to eat the herbs. I researched a bit about this disease and was curious how others have managed this illness and what success is out there!
