Notes:  Dx Jan 8, 2018 -- HSA and pericardial centesis #1, centesis # 2 Jan 20, Stable since then.

Balin is doing great. NO VDCS. Has lots of energy. coat is improving.
Pulse: strong, slippery, fast tongue color: red wet
ears, head and back warm and moist
tongue red with cracks
Damp heat with stagnation in the heart, damp heat skin with wind, LV blood def, KD yin def, underlying Sp qi def

PATIENT UPDATE:
Doing well eating well
Playing hard with Molly (sister dog)
Going for walks

On Tues he was fine until dinner, then he didn't want to eat much, but that wasn't alarming with his G.I. history and he was still eagerly taking treats. Yesterday as we got up to go out first thing he collapsed in the hall. When I saw him start to lose bowel control I pretty much knew it was the end.
