Hi Lavinia,

The coldness of the back. onset over the past six months, diagnosis of cancer, buoyant pulse, and vomiting are all consistent with a diagnosis of Shao Yang disharmony.

The formula we use for that is Xiao Chai Hu Tang. Please make sure the version you use contains Ginseng.

Shao Yang disharmony does lead to Qi deficiency and is believed caused by Phlegm accumulation, which you suspect as present. The (classical version of the) formula is designed to deal with these concomitant issues, but you can add in Liu Jun Zi Tang (Six Gentlemen) - again, use only classical versions containing Ginseng, not Dang Shen (Codonopsis). This formula has put stomach cancer into remission all on its own, but your findings suggest something else is needed

I applaud your switch to real food, and would advise they continue it. LJZT is also well designed to prevent or address cachexia in cancer cases, manifesting with low energy (which is looming for this dog, per your observations), low appetite, and nausea or vomiting. So it is called for in almost any late-stage cancer diagnosis

Hopefully you will see some stabilization. Please let us know what happens
