Canine Cushings

Hi Steve. Seems I have lots of Cushings cases right now, and most all of them have been responding very well to SMS and low carb fresh diets. PU/PD resolving, haricots, energy improving, etc, but several of them have had ALP levels dropping consistently until the last few weeks...3 cases now have their ALP levels going higher again. I'm assuming this is the effect of the Winter Season on the circulation dynamics, but not sure what to do about it.

Hi Jeff,

In theory, this is because of Liver Blood deficiency. The first thing to try is adding Dang Gui Shen to your protocol. Since we don't know if it will work, I'd hold off mixing it into the SMS, but if you do decide to do that, then I'd go with 20g per 100g of SMS

Otherwise, if you dose separately, you're looking to give about 20% of the dose of SMS you're using
